behind the photos
It was their roommates at Howard University that brought the stunning Jasmine Smith, vice president at Edelman in Chicago, into the sights of Royal Farley, a law student and a venture capitalist investing in fashion brands and start-ups owned by minority entrepreneurs.
It wasn't until the fifteenth bridal salon that Jasmine and her mother finally found "the dress" in a never-before-seen Danielle Frankel silk wool hand-crinkled and fluted gown, to go fittingly with "the one" — The ambitious couple tied the knot after ten years together on August 5th, just next door to the White House at The Smithsonian Renwick Gallery in Washington, D.C.
The couple aspired to host a lavish gathering, uniting their mutual friends from Howard University. The festivities commenced with a dance performance by members of the Royal's fraternity, setting the stage for an unforgettable night on the dance floor.

The photos feel like us.
“My favorite part about working with Lisa was her attention to detail. Our photos feel unique and “us” but are also so perfect.”
