Fall Meridian House Wedding | Jermaine & Scott

Jermaine and Scott exchanged vows on a beautiful September day at the Meridian House, a historic DC home showcasing stunning architecture. They said “I do” in the gardens, with their two dogs, Abby and Chloe, serving as their flower girls. After the intimate ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails in the property’s Linden Grove, which was an amazing backdrop for conversation and laughter. The couple met at a bar named after Marvin Gaye and had a two-year long engagement following their two-year long courtship. This gave them the perfect amount of time to make every detail absolutely flawless. From the stationary to the Welcome Boxes, no detail was spared, down to the Beyonce-inspired cookies. “Halo” was their processional song so she was tied into their day in more ways than one. The grooms traveled in a vintage 1964 Rolls-Royce, complete with a eucalyptus garland adorning the back. Amaryllis Floral & Event Design also created a beautiful doorway garland of roses, ivy, and more eucalyptus which led the couple and their guests into the reception.

The outdoor space at the Meridian House greeted Jermaine and Scott’s loved ones with a bourbon bar and a charcuterie station. The charcuterie station by Design Cuisine sat under a crystal chandelier and was not only visually appealing but no doubt delicious. Inside, guests were seated in both the library and the dining room. Shades of green, white, and grey used throughout the space and on the table settings were understated, beautiful, yet still masculine. The couple chose tall vases for their tables, filled with orchids, other florals, and a hint of greenery. The three-tiered, two-flavored cake was topped with a marble tier and donned a unique gold monogram on the middle tier. It was a vision. To prepare for the party, the couple changed from their sleek black loafers to matching glittered loafers. Although Scott’s Christian Louboutin’s were classic and modern, nothing says party-time like glitter!
